<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic string instrument and its tuning setting method capable of simply and freely tuning an electronic string instrument. <P>SOLUTION: When a tuning set switch (104) is depressed while depressing a fret switch (103), a sound level previously allocated to the depressed fret switch (103) is set up as a sound level for the release of the false string.
