<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enlarge mounting space within a rack cabinet by the reduction of uninterruptive power units, and make a power unit have reliability equal to the uninterruptive power unit. <P>SOLUTION: In this power unit, a plurality of modules, each of which has an AC/DC converter for converting AC input into DC power, a DC output battery, and a switch for selecting and outputting either the output of the above AC/DC converter or the output of the battery, are mounted.
