PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high frequency oscillator by which output in high frequency, especially, a GHz band is obtained at a stable output level. SOLUTION: In the high frequency oscillator, a first output is obtained by enhancing the level of higher harmonic waves fn (n is an integer equal to or larger than 2) to the fundamental wave f1 of a crystal oscillator, a second output is obtained by further amplifying the first output in a saturation area of an amplifier and enhancing the level of secondary higher harmonic waves fm to the higher harmonic waves fn and optional secondary higher harmonic waves fm are selected from the second output by a pass filter, and also the higher harmonic waves fn are amplified in the saturation area of the amplifier and a low-pass filter is connected with the amplifier in the high frequency oscillator that is constituted by enhancing the level of optional higher harmonic waves fn (n is an integer equal to or larger than 2) to the fundamental wave f1 of the crystal oscillator, selecting the higher harmonic waves fn by the pass filter and amplifying them by the amplifier.
