ENGINE STOP STRUCTURE OF RIDING MOWING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid shortened life and breakage of a continuously variable transmission, a brake and the like which might be caused by opposition of the continuously variable transmission and the brake upon braking operation. SOLUTION: This engine stop structure of a riding mowing machine is equipped with a pair of continuously variable transmissions 15 for independently converting and transmitting a power from an engine 7 to each of right and left driving wheels 3 switchably into forward and rearward based on the operation of corresponding right and left transmission operating tools 6; and a brake 35 for braking the right and left driving wheels 3 based on the operation of a brake operating tool 36. This structure also comprises a pair of first switches 39 for detecting whether the corresponding continuously variable transmission 15 is in a neutral condition or a non-neutral condition; a second switch 40 for detecting whether the brake 35 is in a braking condition or a non-braking condition; and a control device 45 for stopping the engine 7 when the non-neutral condition is detected by either one or both of a pair of the first switches 39 and the braking condition is detected by the second switch 40 during the operation of the engine 7.
