PURPOSE: A heat treatment method of heat resistance and fatigue resistance improved material for cylinder heads is provided to obtain the optimum physical properties of a heat resistance and fatigue resistance improved composition for diesel and gasoline aluminum cylinder heads. CONSTITUTION: In a method for heat treating a composition for diesel and gasoline aluminum cylinder heads comprising 6.5 to 7.5 wt.% of Si, 0.35 to 0.55 wt.% of Mg, 0.03 to 0.1 wt.% of Mn, 0.02 to 0.2 wt.% of Ti, 0.008 to 0.02 wt.% of Sr, 0.2 wt.% or less of Fe, 0.2 wt.% or less of Cu, 0.1 wt.% or less of Zn, 0.05 wt.% or less of Ni, 0.05 wt.% or less of Sn, 0.5 wt.% or less of Cr and 0.05 wt.% or less of Pb, the heat treatment method of heat resistance and fatigue resistance improved material for cylinder heads comprises the steps of proceeding solution treatment at a temperature of 535±3 deg.C for 6 hours±30 minutes; proceeding quenching at temperature of 80±10 deg.C; and proceeding aging at a temperature of 180±3 deg.C for 6 hours±30 minutes.
