PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable automatic operations, regardless of the presence of slippages or its degree, and to reduce railway laying cost by decreasing the number of markers. SOLUTION: This tracked vehicle consists of a car body 5 provided with wheels 3; a revolution detector 1 that mounted on the car body 5, detects the revolutions of the wheels; a marker presence detector 4 mounted on the vehicle body 5 detects the presence of the markers 6 based on physical interaction to a plurality of the markers arranged at the track side; a holding unit 7 mounted on the car body 5 holds operating patterns, having speed information V' (X') of the car body 5; a calculating unit 7 mounted on the car body 5 calculates operational position coordinate 'X' of the car body 5 based on the revolutions; and an operation unit 14 that, mounted on the car body 5, gives to the car body 5 operational speed V (X) based on the operational position coordinate X and speed information V'. This speed information V' is a function of absolute position coordinate X', and the operating patterns are regulated based on the absolute position coordinate of the markers 6.
