PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing device in which the opening/closing operations of an upper lid and the ON/OFF control of a power source are reliably performed and a photographing posture is set by opening a lens barrier alone without being linked with the opening of the upper lid. SOLUTION: In the photographing device provided with the upper lid which can be raised and brought down (opened and closed) relative to a camera body and in which a liquid crystal monitor is integrated, the upper lid 1 is provided with a monitor cam 1B provided on the side of an opening/closing fulcrum 1A and a monitor swing biasing switching member 4 provided with a swing end abutted to the monitor cam 1B and always swung and biased in a direction equivalent to the bring-down (closing) direction of the upper lid 1. The monitor swing biasing switching member 4 is provided with a constitution 4B capable of setting the case of biasing the upper lid 1 in the bring-down (closing) direction and the case of biasing it in a raising (opening) direction corresponding to the change of an abutting surface with the cam 1B with the vertex 1B1 of the monitor cam 1B as a boundary.
