<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical drive provided with a laser power control circuit for outputting recording power capable of performing very stable recording. <P>SOLUTION: The optical disk drive has the laser power control circuit provided with an S/H unit 2 for sample-holding a feedback signal supplied from the semiconductor laser side 6, a reference unit 3a for outputting a reference signal, a comparator 4 for outputting a comparison signal between both outputs of the S/H unit 2 and the reference unit 3a, a recording power system for calculating a recording power signal on the basis of an erase power signal as the comparison signal, a reproducing power system for calculating a reproducing power signal on the basis of the erase power signal as the comparison signal, and an adder 5 for supplying all of the erase power signal, the recording power signal, and the reproducing power signal, and supplying an adding signal obtained from these supplied power signals each to a semiconductor laser 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
