PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide salomonioside which is a new triterpene glycoside, to provide a glucosyl transferase inhibitor having an action to inhibit the activity of glucosyltransferase for synthesizing glucan causing dental caries, and to provide a plaque formation inhibitor having an action to inhibit the formation of plaque used as the growth place of oral cavity microorganisms.

SOLUTION: This salomonioside which is a new triterpene glycoside, and the glucosyl transferase inhibitor, the plaque formation inhibitor, and a composition for oral cavities, which contain the salomonioside as active ingredients, respectively.
