PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating knob structure which has superior design realized by generating a natural light unevenness around a key top. SOLUTION: The operating knob 1 which is held on a panel, being illuminated by a light source which is disposed inside the panel, comprises, the light source side base portion which is formed using a semi-transparent member 3, a transparent member 2 forming a key top 2a which protrudes forward from the panel, a hollow 3a which is formed in an area where the base portion overlaps the key top 2a approximately, a rib 3b around the hollow 3a, and an operating boss 3c which is formed on the rib 3b.
