PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic head which has increased fitting accuracy of a core and is easily manufactured irrelevantly to machining accuracy of a slider, and a manufacturing method and an assembling fixture therefor. SOLUTION: The magnetic head which applies a magnetic field to a recording surface (magnetic recording surface 14) of a magneto-optical disk (12) and the method for manufacturing the same are provided. The magnetic head comprises the core (4) which is wound or mounted with a coil (6), the slider (2) where a fitting space part (8) having clearances (CL<SB>1</SB>, CL<SB>2</SB>) enabling the core to freely move when inserted is formed, and adhesive resin (10) which is charged between the core inserted into the fitting space part of the slider and the slider to fix the core to the slider while the core is put back by a specified length from slide surfaces (16, 18) of the slider. The positions of the core relative to the slide surface of the slider are made uniform with the assembling fixture (28). COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
