PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening/closing device for a general industrial machine or a structure which is easily constructed, has a simple and rigid structure and can be operated even when a power failure is generated due to an accident. SOLUTION: The opening/closing device 2 attached to a protective wall 1 is provided for springing up the protective wall supported so as to swing, a gate door, a belt conveyor, and a passage board (refer them to as a 'protective wall or the like', hereinafter). A spring 8 (see Fig. 4) for generating a resilient force for springing up the protective wall 1 or the like and a link mechanism 9 (see Fig. 4) for transmitting the resilient force of the spring 8 to the protective wall or the like.
