PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension mechanism engaging device for a removable underwater pump for maintaining connection of a connection port of a discharge conduit and a pump discharge port to each other even in case of a light pump. SOLUTION: In the removable underwater pump with the structure that the connection port 4 of the discharge conduit 2 and the pump discharge port 5 are removably connected to each other, an upward-directed lock edge 6 is stood under the connection port 4 or in side thereof, and a rear surface of the lock edge 6 is provided with an engaging step part 8 facing an engaging projection part 7. An inverted V-shape lock hook 9 for locking both of a front and a rear surfaces of the lock edge 6 from over the lock edge 6 freely to be released is provided under the pump discharge port 5. The engaging projection part 7 is provided in a lower end of the inner surface of a rear piece of the lock hook 9, and when connecting the connection port 4 and the pump discharge port 5 to each other, the engaging projection part 7 is engaged with the engaging step part 8.
