PURPOSE: A vibration reducing device for a drum washing machine and a control method thereof are provided to decrease vibration of an outer tub accurately by offsetting imbalance mass from beginning to end of dehydration. CONSTITUTION: A drum washing machine includes a case(1), an outer tub(2) placed in the case, and an inner tub rotating in the outer tub and having an opening(3a). A vibration reducing device comprises a ring-shaped balance chamber(10) placed in the outer periphery of the opening of the inner tub and divided by plural partition walls(11), a switch(20) formed at the side of the case and turned on and off according to vibration of the outer tub from the imbalance mass, and an actuating fluid supply unit(30) supplying actuating fluid to the inlet of the balance chamber for the phase difference of 180 angular degrees from the imbalance mass. |
