PURPOSE: A credit card settlement method in a mobile terminal having a scan function is provided to previously prevent a danger dependent on loss, robbery or damage by storing credit card information in the memory of a mobile terminal and transmitting it to a settlement terminal. CONSTITUTION: A user inputs the image of a credit card through a scanning part connected to a mobile terminal(S10). The inputted image is stored in a memory through an image signal processing part(S11). A personal credit information processing part inputs personal credit information from the user or downloads it from a credit card company(S12). A data conversion part converts the personal credit information into a magnetic signal, an infrared ray signal, an RF signal, a laser signal, and an IC signal and stores them in the memory(S13). Afterward, in case that the user performs settlement, a microprocessor part fetches the credit card image from the memory and displays it through the display part of the mobile terminal(S14). Also, the microprocessor part fetches a personal credit information signal from the memory and transmits it to a settlement terminal(S15). The settlement terminal transmits the personal credit information to a credit card VAN server through a credit card VAN network and receives a settlement approval signal from the credit card VAN server(S16).
