POSITION TRACKING SYSTEM IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION TERMINAL AND METHOD THEREFOR

PURPOSE: A position tracking system in a mobile communication terminal and a method therefor are provided to accurately track the position of the mobile communication terminal by correcting a position tracking error by propagation delay generated in a repeater. CONSTITUTION: A terminal discriminating device(300) has a user discriminating unit, a transmitting and receiving unit, a control unit and a memory unit. The user discriminating unit receives information from a base station(400) and judges whether a user terminal(100) exists for tracking the position of the user terminal(100). The transmitting and receiving unit transmits and receives a position correction parameter of the user terminal(100). The control unit controls the user discriminating unit and the transmitting and receiving unit. The memory unit stores data. A position tracking server(500) has a database(510) for storing geographical information of repeaters according to identification information of respective repeaters. The position tracking server(500) tracks the position of the user terminal(100).
