PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lotus root digger having such a mechanism as to be easily movable throughout a lotus pond and take water inside the lotus pond into an extrusive pump, ensuring the pump or the like not to undergo cloggings even with such water, affording good workability through stably feeding water for digging lotus roots. SOLUTION: The lotus root digger has the following construction and mechanism: An engine 21 and a discharging pump 22 are loaded on a machine body frame 9 easily movable on a lotus pond, a muddy water filter 10 for filtering water to be taken is set under a position in the pond, and water for digging lotus roots is taken via the filter 10 and a water-absorbing pipe 17 along with pressurization by the pump 22 and extruded via a pressurized water-discharging nozzle.
