VARIABLE FLUID COUPLING

PURPOSE: A variable fluid coupling is provided to improve the energy transmission efficiency of the fluid coupling and effectively correspond to a torque characteristic change of the fluid coupling. CONSTITUTION: A fluid coupling comprises a pump(30) connected with the output side of such a driving source as an engine or a motor, and a turbine(40) converting fluid energy transmitted from the pump into mechanical energy. A variable fluid coupling forms slant setting angles of blades(31) disposed to the pump and the turbine. The setting angle of the blade is getting smaller from the innermost of the radial direction of the blade outward.
