PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium which is suppressed in the deterioration of dyes in a recording medium layer and exhibits a high reflectivity and good jitter. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the optical information recording medium has at least a recording layer forming process step of forming a recording layer on a substrate and a reflection layer forming process step of forming a reflection layer by sputtering on the recording layer, in which the sputtering power of the sputtering in the reflection layer forming process step is specified to 0.1 to 2.8 kW and the sputtering pressure to 1.5×10<SP>-2</SP>to 15 hPa.
