摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk reproducing device which is hardly influenced by a warp in an optical disk, and with which an error rate is minimized, and a tilt angle adjusting method for adjusting the tilt angle of an optical pickup. SOLUTION: A tilt angle control circuit 7 calculates R=(R1+R2)/2 from the innermost disk circumferential recording radius R1 and the outermost disk circumferential recording radius R2 obtained from the disk information stored in memory 8, and controls a tilt angle control mechanism 3 by a driving circuit 4 at the position R or in the neighborhood thereof, to perform tilt angle adjustment. In that case, an adjustment time can be shortened and the operation can be stabilized by performing the tilt angle adjustment centering a tilt angle adjustment value pre-stored in a flash memory 9. Further, a tilt angle adjustment value for surely minimizing the number of errors can be obtained by performing the tilt angle adjustment so that the number of errors obtained from an error counter circuit 6 can be minimized.
