PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biodegradable resin composition capable of obtaining molded products such as a film, a sheet or the like excellent in mechanical property, and to provide a method of production for the same and to provide a biodegradable molded article. SOLUTION: The biodegradable resin composition comprises a soy protein containing≥80 wt.% of protein component, a hydrophilic plasticizer, a polyurethane containing a polyester chain, etc., containing a polycarboxylic acid unit composed of adipic acid and a polyhydric alcohol unit composed of 1,4- butanediol in a molecule, or a polycaprolactone-based polyurethane, etc., and the method of production for the same and the molded article of the same are provided.
