PURPOSE:An MPEG voice decoder using time division multiple access is provided to reduce the size of an output buffer by storing PCM data through time division, thereby reducing the size of a whole chip and manufacturing cost. CONSTITUTION:A decoding control unit(611) receives a buffer state signal, and outputs an interrupt signal in the case that the buffer state signal is in a first logic step. A decoder(612) stops restoration work and outputs restored PCM(Pulse Code Modulation) data in the case that the interrupt signal is inputted from the decoding control unit. An output buffer and interface unit(620) includes an output buffer(622), and outputs the first logic step buffer state signal to the decoding control unit in the case that the output buffer has an empty space. The output buffer and interface unit outputs a second logic step buffer state signal to the decoding control unit in the case that the output buffer has no empty space. The output buffer and interface unit outputs a first logic step buffer enable signal in the case that the output buffer has no PCM data to be output, and outputs a second logic step buffer enable signal in the case that the output buffer has PCM data to be output. A postprocessing control unit(631) receives the buffer enable signals and outputs an interrupt signal in the case of the second logic unit buffer enable signal. A postprocessor(632) receives the restored data from the output buffer and interface unit if receiving the interrupt signal from the postprocessing control unit. |
