The implant consists of a reinforcing member (10) with two wings (16) that have holes for fastening to the pelvic bone and are connected by a ring (20) surrounding a cavity (15) shaped to receive a cotyloid cup and liner. The walls (21) of the ring are extended to cover base of cavity, where they have equally-spaced studs (12) to create a space of the required depth for the cotyloid cup cement.
