A starter switch for an engine with a circuit breaker for safety or rapid starting has a sealed electronic relay and a housing (1) containing a radio-frequency emitter/receiver to actuate the relay when the beam (3) is broken. The housing, fitted to the base of the jet-ski steering column, is filled with a special synthetic resin for electronic components to prevent them being damaged by water or impact.
