PURPOSE: A slip ring end cover is provided to achieve improved quality and durability of AC generator by preventing a deformation and damage of the slip ring end cover. CONSTITUTION: An AC generator comprises a stator assembly which is press fit between a driver end frame and a slip ring end frame; a rotor shaft arranged in a transverse direction in the stator assembly; a rotor assembly arranged at an intermediate portion of the rotor shaft; a voltage regulator arranged at the outer surface of the slip ring end frame; a rectifier for rectifying the alternating current into a direction current; and an AC generator including a slip ring end cover(30) for closing the voltage regulator and the rectifier. The slip ring end cover has a top surface on which through holes(31) are formed, and a reinforcement rib(32) arranged at the bottom surface of the through hole. A side wall(34) has an end contacting the slip ring end frame, and a stepped portion(38) is formed at the end of the side wall excluding a reference surface(37) so as to allow for ease of discharge of foreign substances. The slip ring end cover has a bottom surface on which a guide(40) protruded further than the reinforcement rib is formed. A coupling member(41) having a stopper hook(42) for coupling with the slip ring end frame is arranged at the side wall. An assembly unit is arranged in an output terminal hole through which an output terminal mounted on the rectifier penetrates.
