<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image generating device, capable of making effective use of a display image, such as that for a display device, even when a rasterizer can be activated only exclusively, thereby contributing to cost reduction. <P>SOLUTION: On acquiring document data to be processed, a CPU 11 determines whether a printing image is currently being generated. If it determines that the printing image is being generated, the CPU 11 interrupts the operation of generating the printing image, and instead, starts generating a display image based on the document data acquired; when the display image is displayed on a user interface portion 17, the CPU 11 resumes the operation of generating the printing image that has been interrupted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
