摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sequential parameter derivation method for a periodic curved surface, in a three-dimensional shape processing system. <P>SOLUTION: In a three dimensional shape processing system having shape data for a three-dimensional shape model, two curved surface parameters u, v corresponding to a sequence of points on the curved surface in the shape data are calculated (S1). The sequential parameters, corresponding to the sequence of points on the curved surface, are obtained by serializing the parameter u in the sequence of points (S3), when the curved surface has periodicity on the parameter u (YES in S2), and by serializing the parameter v in the sequence of points (S5), when the curved surface has periodicity on the parameter v (YES in S4). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p>
