<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting and separating (joint) device for a pipe. <P>SOLUTION: The connecting and separating device for the pipe is so constituted that a fixing wedge having a tapered face shrinking toward an axial direction of the pipe from an end is formed on the peripheral face of a connecting end of one pipe of a pair of pipe bodies to be jointed mutually, a wedge fitting part to fit the fixing wedge is formed to a part of the connecting end part of the other pipe, the wedge fitting part has the tapered face shrinking toward its opening, and a holding member to hold the wedge inserted into the wedge fitting part is formed on the surface of the wedge fitting part. The device is characterized in that after the fixing wedge is inserted and fitted to the wedge fitting part formed on the connecting end part of the other pipe, a free wedge is inserted and fitted to the wedge fitting part, and the fixing wedge is locked so as to connect the pipe body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
