<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power feed system for an automobile for applying power to a plurality of batteries that output different voltages. <P>SOLUTION: The power feed system for an automobile comprises an AC generator, a first battery having a voltage lower than that of the electromotive force of the AC generator, and a second battery having a voltage higher than that of the electromotive force of the AC generator. The first battery is charged while an internal inductance of the AC generator is charged, and the second battery is charged while the internal inductance is discharged. A control switch connected to the first battery and a diode for charging the second battery are arranged at respective phases of the AC generator. Also in this system, the first battery is charged while the control switch is closed. After the inductance is charged, the inductance feeds power to the second battery while the control switch is opened, thus charging the second battery. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
