PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk drive unit in which the accuracy of an optical pickup feeding operation is not influenced by an eccentricity and a rotational period of the optical disk. SOLUTION: The optical drive unit is configured of a mean deviation detection means for periodically detecting a mean deviation from the low frequency components extracted from a tracking driving signal as a deviation of the tracking mechanism, and a pulse signal generation means for generating a pulse signal with which the time width is calculated according to the mean deviation at a constant peak value. Since the pulse signal generation means calculates a pulse time only by the mean deviation of the tracking mechanism, the driving signal wave-form is not influenced by the eccentricity and rotational period of the optical disk.
