PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology regarding a portable telephone for automatically receiving a mail by program software using a scheduling function and easily checking whether the mail is transmitted on schedule. SOLUTION: As shown in Fig. 1, a software block (mail processing means) in the mobile telephone according to an embodiment basically includes a lower layer 1, a handler 2, a display/operation section 3, and an application section 4. The display/operation section 3 is operated when a specified date, time, a content of a mail, and a destination email address previously set by a user 10 using the scheduling function are stored.
