PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil-resistant paint composition which shows a high shelf stability and an excellent applicability, may be prepared in higher concentrations, may reduce the amount of a solvent required for its preparation and yields a soil-resistant coating film which causes few cracks and little delamination and shows a good adhesion, a well controlled hydrolysis rate and an excellent soil-resistant performance, especially a soil-resistant property in a highly soiling environment and a long-term soil-resistant property. SOLUTION: The soil-resistant paint composition contains [A] a silyl ester copolymer containing a component unit derived from a polymerizable unsaturated carboxylic acid silyl ester, [B] carboxylic acid, [C] a divalent or trivalent metal compound and [D] a dehydrating agent. Component [C] is contained at an amount corresponding to≥1.2 equivalent weight of a metal composing component [C] against 1 equivalent weight of carboxyl groups in [B] carboxylic acid. Preferably, component [C] is a divalent metal compound which is a compound of at least one metal chosen from the group consisting of zinc, copper, magnesium, calcium and barium.
