PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information transmission system for transmitting information in response to the behavior of a user. SOLUTION: First communication equipment 100 detects that a mobile communication terminal enters a first area by using a short range wireless communication system needing small transmission power and stores a terminal ID unique to the detected terminal and its detection time. The first communication equipment 100 transmits transmission information aiming at a person resident in the first area as an object to the mobile communication terminal when the mobile communication terminal identified by the terminal ID is still resident in the first area after a lapse of 30 seconds from the detected time, or transmits it to second communication equipment 200 when the mobile communication terminal no longer stays in the first area. The second communication equipment 200 receiving the information transmits transmission information aiming at a party going to a second area after passing through the first area to the mobile communication terminal when the mobile communication terminal identified by the terminal ID is resident in the second area.
