PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slag removing device that enables an efficient removal of slag, combustion ash and the like adhering to or depositing on an inner wall of a melting furnace, under an observation of the interior of the melting furnace without a hindrance by a high temperature melting furnace atmosphere. SOLUTION: The slag removing device 1 comprises a nozzle 2 for jetting high pressure fluid, a driving casing 3 for supporting the nozzle 2 and driving the nozzle 2 for reciprocation, a movable part 4 disposed at a lower portion of the driving casing 3 to hold the driving casing, and a fixed part 5 for supporting the movable part 4 for swing motion.
