<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device that can appropriately display a character attached to data on a terminal device, even if the terminal device and the communication device use different character codes. <P>SOLUTION: A composite machine 10, compatible with a network, that is provided for PCs 11a to 11n via a LAN line, and has scanner functions, facsimile functions, printer functions and copying functions is constituted, such that it acquires a character code of a language set in the PC from any one of the PCs 11a to 11n and displays a soft keyboard according to the acquired character code, when a character which is to be attached to the data to be sent to the PC is input. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
