DEVICE AND METHOD FOR NOTICING EMERGENCY INFORMATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily notice the occurrence of a traffic accident to a proper emergency contract destination.

SOLUTION: This device is provided with: an emergency contact designation detecting part 33 for detecting and recording emergency contact destination information to be outputted from a road side antenna 3 set on a road where a vehicle 10 is traveling; an accident detecting part 34 for detecting a trigger from an accident sensor 11 mounted on the vehicle 10; and an emergency information transmitting part 36 for transmitting emergency information indicating that the vehicle 10 has been involved in a traffic accident to an emergency contact destination server 7-i indicated by the emergency contact destination information by using a portable telephone set 5 in response to the detection of the trigger. Thus, it is not necessary for the passenger of the vehicle 10 to retrieve the place of the traffic accident or an emergency contact destination 22-i managing the place when the vehicle 10 encounters the traffic accident.
