PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging apparatus capable of reducing an output difference between a first field and a second field and suppressing the generation of flickers, and a driving method for the solid-state imaging apparatus. SOLUTION: The solid-state imaging apparatus is provided with a light receiving part, a vertical transfer part, a horizontal transfer part and an output part. When one read electrode voltage is at a high level, the other electrode voltages including the other read electrode becomes a low level when reading electric charges in the first field and the second field. In the solid-state imaging apparatus, the electrode voltage of the light receiving part to be read later is set to a middle level before reading the electric charges stored in the light receiving part, the other electrode voltages including the electrode of the light receiving part to be read first are set to the low level and the electrode voltage is applied so as to successively transfer the read electric charges from the light reviving part to the vertical transfer part.
