PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustor that can ensure stable combustion and can ensure uniform combustion in a cylinder length direction. SOLUTION: The combustor has a cylinder 51 provided with a longitudinal array of a plurality of nozzle holes 51h for jetting gaseous fuel or a mixture of gaseous fuel and oxygen containing gas. On the side of the cylinder 51 with the nozzle holes 51h, a porous body P is arranged to allow the gaseous fuel or mixture jetted from the nozzle holes 51h to pass through it and form flames on a fuel outflow side.
