PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a muffler for an engine with a compact size, an advantage in appearance, excellent silencing effect and engine performance. SOLUTION: An middle cylinder 14 having a dashboard 14a inside to reverse an exhaust gas flow is disposed in an external cylinder 11 of a muffler body 10, and an internal cylinder 16 allowing exhaust gas to pass inside is inserted in the middle cylinder 14.
