PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulating manhole iron cover which solves a problem caused by a recessed hole formed in a road corresponding to a manhole, in a snowfall area in winter, and ensures the security of traveling automobiles, etc., and prevention of damage of the road. SOLUTION: The heat insulating iron cover is obtained by attaching a heat insulating material (2) onto a rear side of the manhole iron cover (1) in order to prevent ice and snow over the manhole iron cover (1) arranged in the road from being melted due to heat generated in the manhole.
