<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid magnet in a configuration that can efficiently utilize the energy of a permanent magnet by exciting an electromagnet, and provide a stepping motor that uses this magnet. <P>SOLUTION: This magnet has an electromagnet 16 made by winding a coil 14 on a horseshoe iron core 12 composed of a mid-section 12a and right and left arms 12b having rectangular cross sections, and a square rod 22 sandwiching a permanent magnet 18 from both sides with magnetic blocks 20 and adhering them to the arms of the iron core from one end through the other so that the permanent magnet is located between the arms of the iron core. The ratio of the width of the permanent magnet 18 to the total width of the magnetic blocks 20 is made 1:1.6 to 1:7, and silicon steel is used for the magnetic blocks. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
