PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal device with a built-in camera which is operated while an object is not conscious of the camera. SOLUTION: Inside the upper half part of a portable telephone set 2, a camera 3 is mounted to be freely rotated by a rotary mechanism 5. The rotary mechanism 5 is composed of a motor 14 and a gear mechanism or the like and changes the photographing direction of the camera 3 to the front side and the rear side of the portable telephone set 2. The photographing direction of the camera is inverted to photograph a user himself/herself while watching a display screen and since the camera is incorporated so that the direction of the camera is not recognized due to the appearance of the portable telephone set, even when photographing the other person, the person to be photographed is not conscious of photographing. Further, since the camera is already incorporated in a body, the portable telephone set with the camera can be miniaturized and made lightweight. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
