PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently prepare a sentence. SOLUTION: The KANA characters of respective rows are assigned to the respective buttons of input buttons 27. When any one of the input buttons 27 is pressed, the time of pressing is measured and it is decided whether or not the time is equal to or longer than a prescribed time. When it is decided that any one of the input buttons 27 is pressed for the prescribed time or longer, in accordance with the pressing time, the characters of the row allocated to that button are displayed in order. When a finger is separated from the button and pressing is ended, the character displayed at that time is selected as a character to be inputted.
