PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slope protection base material using a corrosible organic fiber as a material having an excellent function other than the original corrosion function in terms of environment preservation. SOLUTION: The material 3 of the net-like or the sheet-like slope protection base material is made of the corrosible organic fiber 2, and alkali metals such as Ca, Mg, K or the like, alkaline earth metals or fine grains 4 of their salt or hydroxide are introduced to the material 3 to constitute the slope protection base material 1.
