PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organosilicon compound having trace amount of impurity by treating an organic silicon compound containing impurities with a hydrotalcite compound, wherein the curable silicone composition compounded the treated organic silicon compound is applicable to semiconductor devices as a protective coat and causes no deterioration in moisture resistance and electric insulation properties and is suitable for corrosion inhibition of an electrode surface. SOLUTION: In this method for purifying the organosilicon compound, 100 pts.wt. organosilicon compound containing impurities are treated with 1-50 pts.wt. hydrotalcite. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
