PURPOSE: An illuminating device is provided to protect the casing of the device from foreign substances, while lengthening the useful life of the device and achieving improved cooling efficiency. CONSTITUTION: An illuminating device comprises a magnetron(20) for generating a microwave; a bulb unit(50) for generating a light by the microwave; a waveguide(40) for interconnecting the magnetron and the bulb unit and transmitting the microwave generated from the magnetron to the bulb unit; and a casing(10) for accommodating the magnetron and the waveguide, and which is coupled with the bulb unit. The casing tightly contacts the outer surface of the magnetron and accommodates the magnetron so as to release the heat generated from the magnetron.
