PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speed change hydraulic unit for an automatic transmission capable of stopping a main pump during idling stop control and supplying necessary oil pressure for traveling during a restart-up and smoothly traveling. SOLUTION: In a vehicle having an idling stop control means, an engine output torque detecting means detecting an equivalent value of engine output torque is arranged. A normal control portion outputting a line pressure adjustment control command after fastening of a fastening element for a forward movement is complete and a fastening control portion outputting the line pressure adjustment control command before fastening of the fastening element for a forward movement are arranged on a line pressure adjustment control means. During the restart-up after an idling stop, the fastening control portion outputs the line pressure adjustment control command in proportion to the detected equivalent value of the engine output torque. When the equivalent value of the engine output torque is a predetermined setting value or less, the line pressure adjustment control command being lower than a command value during the normal control is outputted.
