PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyamide resin composition for sliding parts which is excellent in strength, stiffness, and fatigue characteristics, has low friction and abrasion characteristics, and is used as an industrial material for various mechanical parts and electric/electronic parts; and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This polyamide resin composition for sliding parts is prepared by a method wherein at least one compound in a molten state, selected from among (A) higher fatty acid metal salts and (B) higher fatty acid-higher alcohol esters, is injected into a molten polyamide which is formed by the progress of polycondensation in a polyamide melt polymerization process and has a water content of 10% or lower and then (C) the resultant polyamide resin having a 98% sulfuric acid relative viscosity (1 g/100 ml)ηr of 1.5 or higher but lower than 3.5 is further subjected to polymerization.
