PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide support equipment for setting safety condition, which enables setting of various kinds of parameters for building a safety network, without understanding the specifications or the like of individual apparatuses employed in an actual system. SOLUTION: Information on internal processing time of safety apparatuses, including a safety input apparatus 6 and a safety output apparatus 7, which are connected to the network 5, is stored in a parts database 13d. At least one of the information pieces on transmission interval, between the safety apparatuses for connection and on safety distance from the safety input apparatus 6 to an apparatus subjected to control, and information on connection showing connecting relation between the safety apparatuses, are obtained. Then, safety conditions (determination of uninputted condition, or the like) are obtained, based on thus obtained information and the internal processing time. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
