HEAD UP DISPLAY, SIGNAL GENERATING APPARATUS, AND PROGRAM FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head up display capable of displaying a distant image and a virtual image on a big screen without deteriorating display quality while achieving the miniaturization of an optical unit. SOLUTION: When a distance between a display unit and a prism sheet 80 is L1 and a distance between the prism sheet 80 and a viewpoint is L2, an image is created and displayed on a display unit in a distance d=L1×|ϕi1-ϕi2|+L2×|ϕo1-ϕo2|×(cosϕi1/cosϕo1) by shifting in advance a point which emits a wavelengthλ1 and a point which emits a wavelengthλ2 on the display unit by a distance d which satisfies|ϕo1-ϕo2|≤0.030°.
